Bambua Nature Park Resort is situated in Sabang behind a gentle range of hills - just outside the Princesa Subterranean River National Park, with the famous Underground River.

All the facilities at Bambua are located in an extensive garden landscape, surrounded by the bizarre St. Paul Mountain Chain, by Palawan farmland and Palawan jungle.

Our Resort consists of several bungalows with the traditional Filipino style thatched roofs purposely-built to blend with the natural surroundings and it is one of the ideal get-away for anyone who needs a relaxing holiday.

Bambua is surrounded by amazing nature. You can visit our farm area, the mangroves and the fishponds, or make a walk through our virgin Palawan rainforest and watch Palawan birds and other Palawan animals

Bambua has 4 units of Village-Type Cottages( each is good for 2 persons). All VillageType Cottages have a nice terrace with a beautiful view and much privacy.
These cottages have attached bathroom, (cold shower only), electric fans( electricity is generated by our own -silence- generator).Electricity is available 12 hours a day. In special cases also longer...
All other rooms in our Lodging House and in the Duplex Cottages have only common bathroom, no fan..

Misc Information

Please note that the climate at Bambua(specially at night) is much cooler (Foggy Palawan Tropical Forest) than in other areas here in Palawan. Bambua is located close to the Palawan forest and just at the foothills of the Saint Paul Mountain chain.
Bambua is a special secluded place for Palawan Nature loving travelers. All the structures are set up in a spacious garden landscape. Our farm, the fishponds, the mangroves and our trails inside Bambua rainforest can be visited, you can watch Palawan Birds and other Palawan Animals and can get a impressions from the Palawan beauty and silence of Palawan Nature here.

Bambua Resort is approximately 800 meters away from Sabang pier. Just 10 minutes Walk to or get a free ride with Bambua Jeepney into Sabang Beach.
So, Sabang beach is not far away, you can even hear the sound of the Palawan Sea waves and the Palawan surf of the Palawan Sea (South China sea) here at Bambua. The advantage is for some people also that there are no SANDFLIES (NIK- NIK)in our place.

Sabang Mangrove paddle river tour can be done at Sabang Beach. Small bancas can bring you along the coastline of the Palawan Sea - South-China. Kayak or paddle boats are not yet available in Sabang, regarding about Snorkeling Equipment, you have to bring it yourself. There are some very nice spots for snorkeling near the mouth of the Princess Underground River Cave.
Credit Cards are not accepted at Bambua Nature Park Resort - payments by cards are only possible in Puerto Princesa City (Port Princess)- there are also several Banks with ATM machines. Going to remote area like Sabang, it is necessary to bring cash money Philippine Pesos and or US Dollars with you.

We don't have satelite TV yet in Bambua Nature Park Resort.

Our small Resort is managed by 2 Filipino-German families. First, We need of course, a few days in advance for reservations, and Second, we have to reconfirm if there is Cottage Vacancy in Bambua Nature Park Resort.

The Underground trip they can book easily themselves (its only boat transfers and entrance fees).

In case they want additional sightseeing in Sabang and surroundings we will arrange this with them on location here, and they will pay straight to us for this. We can offer Palawan Mangrove River Paddle Tour, Palawan Lions Cave visiting, Palawan Ugong Rock tour and Palawan Jungle experience sightseeing.

Princesa Subterranean River Cave in Saint Paul Nature Park is one of the World's best bat viewing sites, especially for horseshoe bats. Ghostly-looking cave crayfish up to 20 cm long can be seen on shallows. Watch also for taylorbirds and gorgeous Trigonoptera butterflies near cave entrance. Swimming upstream along the river near the park entrance at dawn is a good chance to see kingfishers, turtles and tree-shrews (reportedly, no Crocodylus porosus here, but watch out anyway). A smaller creek near park office clearing is good for kingfishers, caecilids and beautiful freshwater fishes. Walking at night in the forest, look for flying squirrels, badgers, and shrews; don't miss small caves along Jungle Trail with different assortment of bats, swiftlets and giant wolf spiders (watch out for fire ants). The small caves area is also good for pigeons, wild pigs, pittas, Polypecton emphanum pheasants, various lizards (from tiny skinks to giant Agamids), and chiggers. Park office clearing is very good for an excellent variety of birds, as well as treefrogs, mongooses, squirrels, and monitor lizards.

The Crocodile Farm near Puerto Princesa has a small natural area, where some native birds and mammals can be seen, both in captivity and in the wild. It's the only accessible place to see endemic Crocodylus mindorensis by Vladimir Dinets.

FOR HONEYMOONER - Our Village-Type Cottage No.3 is the right choice for Newly Married Couple. It has the most possible Privacy, is has a nice view from the Bambua Resort Terrace direct towards the Palawan Farm and the Palawan Jungle.
The Newly Wed Couple can enjoy a very peaceful stay. They can make a short exploring by just walking into our own Palawan Rainforest and the Palawan Mangroves. They can visit our farm and watch the Palawan Birds and other Palawan Animals direct from Bambua Resort Cottage.
They can visit the Underground River, they can make a Mangrove River Paddle Tour, can stay at the beautiful Sabang Beach for swimming and snorkeling. For little extra costs we can take them to the karst mountains of Cabayugan, there they can visit the BATAK Museum, the Lions Cave and in Tagabinet the Ugong Rock.
At any time, if Bambua Jeepney is available, we can bring them to Sabang Village and pick them up there also. But it's nice to walk also, just 10 to 15 minutes....
